A greener GreenTech
At GreenTech, sustainability is at the core of everything we do. We are committed to reduce our environmental impact and creating a responsible event experience. Here are examples of how we are making GreenTech greener:
Carbon footprint reduction & responsible logistics
Footprint calculation: We continuously evaluate and implement actionable strategies to reduce our carbon footprint.
Green deal zero emission city logistics: RAI Amsterdam has committed to reducing harmful city logistics emissions to zero by 2025.
Clustered supplier transport: We work with regional suppliers to limit freight traffic and emissions.
Sustainable travel options
Also new ‘Slinger’: Our ride-sharing widget helps attendees share rides, reducing emissions, easing parking congestion, and offering networking opportunities.
Sustainable accommodation
Sustainable catering
Plant-based catering: All GreenTech-funded catering is 100% plant-based. This reduces our carbon footprint, promotes healthier choices, and supports sustainable agriculture.
Local & organic ingredients: Our chefs’ source fresh products from Amsterdam-based suppliers with a social or organic focus.
Food waste prevention: Together with the Salvation Army, we repurpose surplus food to provide meals for those in need.
Eco-Friendly stands and awards
Innovation & Concept Awards: Sustainability is a key category, and the awards themselves are made from sustainable materials.
Sustainable products and services
Circular event materials: We offer sustainable furniture, LED lighting, modular stand construction, and plant-based catering.
Digital and paperless initiatives
Waste management and recycling
Waste separation & recycling: Trash islands with waste watchers improve recycling efficiency and reduce landfill waste.
From waste to value: We collaborate with social initiatives to donate leftover materials and food, preventing waste and benefiting local communities.
No disposable plastic: From January 1, 2024, single-use plastic for on-site consumption is prohibited. Instead, reusable, and biodegradable materials will be used.
Together, we can make a change
