12:40 - 13:10 | Haifa solutions in modern greenhouse systems for more efficient use of water and nutrients in crop production

There is great concern in the world because there is increasingly less availability of water resources for crop production. We know that this resource is limited and the current efforts in food production is focused on taking advantage of this resource in the best and most efficient way, while improving the use, application and absorption of nutrients to the crop at the same time.

Juan Manuel Díaz, Technical Manager, Haifa Mexico

13:20 - 13:50 | Equip

14:50 – 15:20 | Winner of the Exhibitor Contest

15:30 - 16:00 | Innovations in vegetable grafting

Innovations in the use of materials and equipment for grafting vegetables are presented. On one hand, the use of PAR lamps for graft healing; these lamps increase healing speed, prevent intumescence formation in tomato seedlings and multiply the efficiency in the use of space for the healing chamber by three. On the other hand, grafting clips are presented with improvements in grip, flexibility and color that allow greater grafting efficiency.

Giovanni Oros, Mexico Representative, Leyton Greenhouse - KB Tech

16:10 - 16:40 | ENTOMATIC: Automated Beneficial Insect Release for Efficient Agriculture

Discover how ENTOMATIC, Biobest Mexico's beneficial insect dispensing machine, is revolutionizing biological control in protected agriculture. Its fast and uniform distribution optimizes efficiency and reduces labor costs. Its modular design allows for customized configurations and is compatible with various carriers, ensuring a homogeneous application in different crops.

Luis Josué Méndez, Technology Development Coordinator, Biobest Mexico

16:40 - 17:10 | Iodine as a nutrient: Influence on the yield and quality crops

Based on phenotype, genomic and proteomic studies, it was shown that plants need iodine for timely flowering, an increase in seed production, biomass accumulation and efficient photosynthesis.  Furthermore, iodinated proteins are involved in the activation of an early warning system that defends the plant from damage caused by abiotic and biotic stress.
