In the spotlight: The Jiffy Story

Friday, 15 September 2017
Jiffy plant in Zwijndrecht, is an ultra modern factory for substrates and potting soils. The most advanced technical processes are used for screening, mixing, internal transport, processing and storage of raw materials. The different raw materials are sieved into fine, medium and coarse fractions. These fractions are transported to the 10 stock bunkers using conveyer belts. Reduced use of shovels significantly reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. The three advanced mixing lines can produce substrates and transport them directly to the four bulk loading lines and the stock bunkers for the various packaging lines; bags, big bags and big bales. All operations at jiffy are evaluated and tested against their core values; Quality, Innovation and Sustainability.
